I ran across some oldies but goodies. I saw some of these pictures and took them in stride. Then my 30 something came by and made such a fuss , saying maybe I should be an archeologist . I selected some pictures randomly, do you remember any of these first hand? You young whipper snappers do you recall anything that I have posted ? It is amazing, how things change in just one life time. I wonder what it will be like in another 50- 60 years? Please share your ideas, and if possible something from the past that has evolved, or maybe survived the years?
JERKS ATE ALL TEN PICTURES!!! I will try it again
One last time they took all the pictures again. Last try at repost
Morons of the site ate all 10 pictures for the 3rd time, a total of 30 pictures, may they choke on their customer service

I have posted about this before, but it came to mind again. Is there a health benefit, or is it ego ? I saw a young lady at the gym that brought this subject to mind. I think she is a body builder . I do admire the obvious commitment she has brought to her quest and I certainly am not trying to disparage what she is doing. I am just wondering about the practicalities of working to "bulk" ones body / muscle mass to what many may think as excessive. I know for a fact that I had several male "body builders" in my military units over the years. And to put it bluntly, they were useless when it came to mobility and flexibility needed in field conditions. Is that the same for all body builders? I can not say, that was just an observation. I want to emphasis, I am not trying to be negative towards their choices, it is something that I could never accomplish myself . My question (s) to you,, Is this body "shape" attractive to you (be it male or female)? Have you tried to "be that way"? Do you admire their commitment to this life style? Add anything that you like to this conversation

We are all big boys and girls here. Some folks get embarrassed if they are asked to discuss this subject. I personally think that masturbation is perfectly normal and is healthy. When incorporated in your play time with a partner it can add a bit of eroticism. Do you recall when you first masturbated? How about the first time with your partner? Is it normal and natural to you?[/SIZE

By the power that I have assumed, I here by suspend all of the bad stuff contained in bacon for today. I mean pork bacon, not that "wannabe" turkey stuff. Today, this is a quilt free zone, you can do, or admit anything bacon related! Do you like bacon? The flavor, the smell, the taste? And one very critical question ,,, soft or hard (the bacon of course)? Do you have a favorite "style" of bacon? In my extensive research, I have noticed that many countries have their own "style / cut of bacon. So lets celebrate bacon!!! One of life's guilty pleasures for many of us. Along with a cup of coffee

I was listening to music last night and I drifted back through 1972. That was the year I first went into the Air Force. There sure was some corny music back then. I was not big on records or 8 track tapes (yes!!! ). My main source of music was my handy Transistor radio, AM channels only . It cost me almost a days pay as a , 6-7 dollars.
I certainly was not much of a dancer, but we did things a bit different "back in the day". It almost seems like an aerobics class.
Do you remember the music from 1972? Maybe that is unfair for our "younger" visitors. Do you have an era of music that is special to you? Maybe from your teenage years? Here are excerpts from a couple of hits from around 1972 that I remember oh so well
The Doobie Brothers - Listen To The Music (1972)
Don't you feel it growin', day by day People gettin' ready for the news Some are happy, some are sad Oh, we got to let the music play What the people need Is a way to make 'em smile It ain't so hard to do if you know how Gotta get a message Get it on through Oh, now mama's go'n' to after 'while Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh, listen to the music All the time
Well I know, you know better Everything I say Meet me in the country for a day We'll be happy And we'll dance Oh, we're gonna dance our blues away And if I'm feelin' good to you And you're feelin' good to me There ain't nothin' we can't do or say Feelin' good, feeling fine Oh, baby, let the music play
Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh
Seals & Croft -Summer Breeze - (1972)
See the curtains hangin' in the window In the evenin' on a Friday night Little light is shinin' through the window Lets me know everything's alright
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
See the paper layin' on the sidewalk A little music from the house next door So I walked on up to the doorstep Through the screen and across the floor
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom July is dressed up and playing her tune And I come home from a hard day's work And you're waiting there, not a care in the world

It is one of those days. Sometimes we over do it and awaken with some aches and pains. One of my old injuries, right shoulder, neck and jaw is flaring up . I feel like a massage would be so good right now. Get some of the knots worked out of the muscles. Do you enjoy getting a massage? Do you enjoy receiving a massage? At least for me, I enjoy giving her a massage as much as I enjoy receiving one. The feeling of the smooth warm skin under hand is great. When was the last time you either received or gave a massage?

I was thinking, how fortunate we are to be able to participate here in blogland. Amongst other things we are regaled with life advice. We have people of all ages and experiences. They are from different cultures and ethnicities. Some like me do have a bit cock eyed views, but overall we can benefit from the observations, comments and advice we are exposed to. This is an opportunity for you to share any life advice, observations comments with us. Here are some random bits, some tongue in cheek, but generally helpful. This first image is one of my favorites

A friend sent me these "Laws" . They gave me a laugh, so I thought I would share them. I think they also explain some of what is going on in the world. Sometimes, I think life is too serious. Wouldn't be nice to have a place you can go to, close out the Adult world and just relax and have fun? Not as an escape, just a "recharge" time. Do you have a way to just relax and recharge? There are a few that cum to mind already
1. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
2. A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.
3. He who laughs last, thinks slowest.
4. A day without sunshine is like, well, night.
5. Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
6. Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't.
7. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
8. The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
9. If the shoe fits, get another one just like it.
10. The things that come to those who wait may be the things left by those who got there first.
11. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer.
12. Flashlight: A case for holding dead batteries.
13. God gave you toes as a device for finding furniture in the dark.
14. When you go into court, you are putting yourself in the hands of twelve people who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty.

Before she left the blogs, CalypsoFlame , made a post about her beautiful gardens. It got me to thinking about the beauty of flowers. I have been in parts of the world where the sight of flowers was rare. I did not realize the significance until I got back to civilization . The first flowers I saw burst out in their grand colors at me! They made me glad and I had a silly smile on my face at their sight and smell. My garden does not contain flowers, but when I am in or near a garden that does, I savor the experience. Do you enjoy flowers? Do you have flowers growing in your garden or in your home? Do you enjoy giving or receiving flowers?

A friend sent this article to me via email. I have served in the military for 30 years and I have to say that this article woke me up. Although I had served with women, fortunately none had been injured. Which is not the case with many.
We see lots of pictures of wounded male veterans but women vets get wounded and maimed too. You may need to take a second, closer look though. The first thing I saw was a bunch of beautiful smiles. Study this picture again. Let the story it tells sink in. These women and many others, as well as their male comrades, paid this price for our freedoms. And they did it for less than what welfare recipients are paid. They risked these injuries or death for America. FREEDOM ISN'T FREE! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.
If the site morons eat this picture, please stop back to view it.
This song by Jackie Evancho ,,,,,, "I Believe" compliments this theme. Listen to it on the tube place and it just may bring you to tears
Before I lay me down to rest I ask the Lord one small request I know I have all I could need But this prayer is not for me Too many people on this day Don't have a peaceful place to stay Let all fighting cease that your may see peace Wipe their tears of sorrow away [Chorus] To believe in a day When hunger and war will pass away To have the hope amidst despair That every sparrow's counted That you hear each cry and listen to each prayer
Let me try always to believe That we can hear the hearts that grieve Please help us not ignore The anguished cries of the poor Or their pain will never leave [Chorus] To believe in a day When hunger and war will pass away To have the hope amidst despair That every sparrow's counted That you hear their cries and listen to each prayer [Spoken prayer] Father, as you see, I'm just a And there's so much to understand But if Your Grace should surround me Then I'll do the best I can I promise, I'll do the very best I can [Chorus] To believe in a day When hunger and war will pass away To have the hope amidst despair That every sparrow's counted That you hear each cry and listen to each Prayer {Hear each cry and listen to each prayer} Help us do Your will oh Father In the name of all that's true And we'll see in one another The loving image of You

I posted this a few months ago. And believe it or not this is still in court!!!
I saw this article and was thinking, what a brat this girl is. Or are her parents really responsible? She had an opportunity that any number of college bound students would love. But at some point she found other needs for the tuition money that was given her. Then, what really fries me, she thinks that since her father worked for "a million years" , he should sacrifice his retirement to fix her irresponsibility. Am I being too harsh in my "judgment" of her? Do you think her parents are responsible for her mismanagement? (note: because of space issues, I did excerpt from the article)
Here is the article
A 22-year-old college student blows her $90,000 college fund and blames her parents
The woman, a 22-year-old college junior with a confession: in just short three years she had managed to blow through a $90,000 college fund left to her by her grandparents. She has one year left of school and no way to cover her remaining $20,000 tuition balance. What followed has to be one of the most painful interviews that has ever been aired on national radio. She manages to personify just about every parent’s worst nightmare — an entitled 20-something who asks for handouts rather than face the very real financial challenges of young adulthood, "Years ago my grandparents set up a college fund for me, which was amazing, and I haven’t been very good with my budget for school. The first payment for my senior year just arrived and I don’t have the money basically. I’ve just been avoiding it. I knew the bill was coming.” “I used it to budget for school clothes and college break money. I probably should have not done that. I took a trip to Europe. The Europe thing I thought was part of my education and that’s how I tried to justify that.” “Maybe [my parents] should have taught me to budget or something. They never sat me down and had a real serious talk about it.” “[My parents] said there was nothing they could do for me. They’re not being honest with me saying they don't have [money] because my dad has worked for like a million years and they have a retirement account.” “Then my parents suggested I go take out a loan at a credit union and I’m, like, how am I supposed to do that?" “I have to go inside the bank to get a loan?” Show co-host "You could get a job for the school ...maybe the cafeteria's hiring." She: "That’s embarrassing." “I know they’re trying to teach me a lesson and blah blah blah and character building but, like, I hope they realize [working part-time] could have such a negative effect on my grades and as a person."[/I]

I saw a small part of a program last night that dealt with "Fails" and Mishaps. I know I should feel bad, but for the short time I was watching the program , I was laughing almost uncontrollably . I was not doing it with malice, but because I probably had befallen the same things at one time or another. Do you have a fail or mishap that you would share with us? I promise that I will not laugh . Alternatively, what is the funniest that you have heard of?
Jerkoffs took 10 pictures and left the bling. May they get heart burn from them
